Blues Blast Magazine Annual Awards Committee has nominated Chris Cain as Male Blues Artist of the Year and his self-titled album, Chris Cain, as Best Contemporary Blues Album of the Year in their annual awards.

Chris Cain offers up a soulful stew of Memphis style electric blues. His powerfully deep vocals and jazz inspired, blues guitar riffs are unforgettable; uniquely his own, while reminiscent of the legendary BB King and Albert King. As a child, Chris Cain attended concerts with his dad to hear many of the great blues artists of the time. When Cain burst onto the blues scene in 1987 with his award winning debut album, he soon found himself sharing the stage and trading licks with a few of those legends, including Albert King and Albert Collins. Chris Cain has released a dozen albums, each filled with soul-stirring songs pulled from his own blues drenched heart. His brand of blues is unforgettable.

The Touch Of Class Band was formed in 1984 with the vision of combining vocal harmonies, a heavy horn section and choreography together. The band is a ten piece high energy show band that performed though out the Bay Area and Tahoe for the past 15 years. We have now made a transition from our earlier concept to a talented vocal group (i.e. The Temptations, The Whispers) backed by outstanding musicians.

As a versatile singing group we perform R&B / Funk, Oldies and Standards. Our varied repertoire enables us to perform at clubs, corporate events, weddings and any event that calls for talented entertainment.

It is this kind of variety combined with choreography and high energy that make it possible for us to provide the kind of quality entertainment that adds a spark to any event. We also have a skilled sound technician to keep the music balanced at a comfortable listening, dancing level. To sum it up, we are exactly as our name implies, a “Touch of Class”.

The Funky Godfather is a world-class 9-piece showband and a tribute to the music of James Brown. It’s fronted by one of the most talented and dynamic performers working the stage today, Cubby Ingram. Cubby’s got it all: the voice, the moves, the energy and the magic. And just like JB, Cubby’s backed by a super-funky, super-tight band featuring horns, percussion, and one of the baddest rhythm sections in the business — true professionals who have performed all around the world, at iconic soul music venues like the Apollo Theater and Porretta (Italy) Soul Festival.

This great band sets the stage on fire (and packs the dance floor) with James Brown’s greatest hits. JB’s storied career spanned over three decades of American pop music, from the late ’50s all the way into the early ’90s. Harmonicist and singer from Madrid, Quique starts playing the harmonica at 18 and starts his first band, Juan Bourbon, Juan Scoth & Juan Beer, at 20 years old. With this band he travels the Spanish stages during the following decade while he studies and runs a small club. In 2008, at age 31, he visited Chicago and met some of the leading exponents of the Blues, with whom he began to work frequently on both sides of the Atlantic. Quique has stepped on stages from 4 continents, sharing them with artists such as John Primer, Eddie C. Campbell, Bob Stroger, Rockin Johnny (with whom he is currently preparing a new album), Jimmy Burns, Tail Dragger, Kenny Blues Boss Wayne …
Quique Gómez & His Vipers is the new project of Quique and the band he is currently working with, he released his first album in 2017, with a very good reception by part of the criticism, and has been presented in South America, USA, Europe and Japan.

With more than 10 records on the market, Quique is also presented as an acoustic duo with his friend Curro Serrano, where, in addition to the harmonica, he plays guitar and mandolin and with which they have released an album in 2018.Quique is the voice and harmonica in the Gatos Bizcos Band with 2 albums in Edited.
Quique sometimes moves the harmonica to show us his more “crooner” side as a singer of the BOB SANDS BIG BAND. With this New Yorker’s band, he plays Swing classics with arrangements by Count Basie, Thad Jones accompanied by 18 other musicians on stage.
As a complement to his life on the stage director of the Béjar Blues Intensive Course since 2009.

Celebrated singer/songwriter Kaye Bohler has captivated audiences from Japan to Alaska for over 25 years. Kaye’s show is bathed in southern Soul, Blues, and Funk as she knocks you and rocks you out. An unmistakably powerful and engaging performer, Kaye Bohler really knows how to pull you in and make you dance, cry and laugh too.

She possesses a formidable triple threat as a singer, songwriter, and bandleader with five CD’s now under her belt. Her latest CD: “Handle the Curves” has received excellent reviews as Kaye continues to build her reputation as one of the best America roots and soul singers working on the West Coast. The publication Blues Matters wrote: “I’m not normally a great fan of titles like “the white Tina Turner” as they sometimes seem to demean both parties but I will certainly go along with it in this case. Kaye Bohler, out of California, has a big strong voice and on this, her fifth album, she proves that she can certainly handle a soul tune with ease and class – take a listen to the opener “Diggin On My Man” – and the blues good and proper as on the slow impassioned blues of the title track “Handle the Curves”. I somehow don’t get the impression Kaye is really talking about the curves on the road!”
